Emerging report reaching Gistlover.com from a source close to the Presidency, has revealed that pressure is on President Muhamamdu Buhari, to announce his immediate resignation, during the nationwide broadcast slated for Monday, by 7 a.m.

Recall, that the Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, had in a statement on Saturday morning, announced that Buhari would address the nation, on Monday.

On the resignation, the source said that Buhari has not fully recovered, but was forced out of London by protesters, who kept vigil in the front gate of Abuja House, London.

the source said: “Buhari has not fully recovered. He was forced out of the Abuja House, because of the protesters who barricaded the gate in London. He wants to avoid international embarrassment.

He added: “It may shock you to know that Buhari may announce his immediate resignation as President, during the live broadcast, slated for Monday.

“The guy is tired, he just needed more rest, but protesters won’t let him be, and continue to function normally under the able leadership of the Vice President.”

According to snippets before Buhari’s announced his arrival back to Nigeria, three former Heads of State, Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar, and Olusegun Obasanjo, had met behind closed door, as Buhari‘s health problems, alongside its attendant fallouts for the country, and its restive polity comprised the agenda.

The source said that Buhari had hinted of his willingness to leave office, given his failing health; he wanted it done in a very patriotic manner, devoid of complications that could destabilise the work of his administration.

The source continued: “They also discussed the alleged willingness of the President to resign from office, so as to attend to his health”, adding that: “President Buhari had mulled the idea of resignation with the three former leaders in close confidence, which necessitated the Niger State impromptu meeting.”

“Their meeting was a result of such signals, and same expressed by the President himself in confidence to them individually. They then considered two strong burning issues that must be tidied up before allowing President Buhari to turn in his resignation letter to the National Assembly.”

Although, Gistlover.com was not able to independently confirm the possibility of Buhari resigning as President.
