Emerging report gathered on Sunday morning, revealed that Umuahia, the Abia State Capital has already declared itself as part of the Sovereign State of Biafra. This came in reaction of Anambra State’s recent declaration, that the State is no longer interested in the Biafra agitation. In Abia, it was learnt that the people continue to dance to the tune of Nnamdi Kanu, who has been fighting for the independence of Biafra, from Nigeria. Sahara Reporters Correspondent who visited Umuahia, the hometown of Nnamdi Kanu, gathered that the people have tactically broken away from Nigeria. To drive home their agitation, indigenes of Umuahia continue to gather at the gate, a historical location at the entrance of the State, to show their keen desire of forming a country of their own. “We are tired of being a part of Nigeria. There is nothing for us here. We want a better place for our children and grandchildren. Nnamdi Kanu is the right man to lead this cause. He is not materialistic, and has been anointed by God to lead us to Biafra. He has a lot of angels by his side, guiding him from all the evil that people are planning. Nothing can stop Biafra, not even an Igbo Presidency.” one man, Justice, said. Dickinson Ogbonna, lambasted the Igbos who are not supporting their agitation, claiming they have been bought to the side of the Nigerian Government. “We support Nnamdi Kanu, and all those Igbos who have refused to support him are doing so, because of the things they get from the government. Biafra struggle is no small one, and we are ready to die for its actualization”, he declared. July 6th of 2017, has been set aside to mark 50-years of Biafra’s existence since the war, and further sends a message to the world that IPOB’s Biafra will be stronger when out of Nigeria.

  1. Please, you people should stop spreading false rumour thereby creating tension in the land. Last time it was said that Kanu’s kinsmen have disassociated themselves from Biafra and Ohanaeze has disowned Kanu. Now, contrary to this, you are telling us that Umuahia which is also Kanu’s state capital has broken out from Nigeria. All these I believe is to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it. Let’s be careful the way we report issues. Igbos are hard working Nigeria species, loving, do not like injustice, outspoken, want equity, very accommodating, educated and believe in God. Thank God almost all tribes now want restructuring which Igbos have been clamouring for and championing for years now. Igbos mean well for Nigeria.
