A member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Honorable Mikail Kazeem, representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode in the green chamber, was caught on camera carrying his constituency project materials himself.

According to eyewitnesses, it was his own way of displaying his undiluted loyalty and selfless service to his constituency.

Facebook user, Emmanuel Ojo who shared the photos wrote;

“Signs showing that the elections are near? Here’s one of such.

The pictures you’re seeing here are that of Hon Micky Kazzim a member of HoR representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode and Odeda federal constituency.

Obviously he’s seeking reelection, hence this deceitful show of serving humanity with humility. In the last two to three years, no one has seen him doing this.

Nigerians should expect more of such public display from some politicians that have abandoned them for long.

Here are photos he shared;

This is coming after a member of House Of Representatives in Niger State, Hon Abubakar Chika Adamu, withdrew from  2019 reelection race. According to him, his resignation letter was due to the corrupt nature of politicians.

The member, representing Shiroro/Rafi/Munya constituency of Niger State, disclosed this in a letter sent to the Niger State, drawing the attention of the APC to the lack of cordiality between the government of Niger and the federal legislators from the state

The letter reads:“In line with the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (SAW), that any person seeking to be appointed or elected into public office should be rejected, now that there is eroding public trust in legislators of the National Assembly, it is not worth the trouble to seek such office unless it is for my selfish and personal interest.

“Though I have quite a number of reasons not to contest the up and coming election, I want to draw the attention of our great party APC in Niger state to the disconnect between the governance (sic) in the state and the membership of the National Assembly, the state assembly and other key stakeholders because there is an absence of synergy,” he wrote.

“We are in pursuit of individual agenda and as such at loggerheads with the ideals of the party.

“I wish to inform the party i am available to donate my experiences and expertise to the party if you wish.”
